What is a Generational Curse?

What is a generational curse? a specific pattern that is deposited into a family whereby the family member will be more predisposed to repeat because go heightened exposure to it.

Example of generational curse:

1. Abuse

2. Anger

3. Teen Pregnancy

4. Alcoholism

5. Adultery

6. Pornographgy

7. Shacking

In Exodus 20: 5-6 those shalt not bow down thyself to them: for I the Lord God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father upon the third generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousand of them that love me and keep my commandments.

As you can see, a generational curse is something that comes from relatives with in the past 30 years, and ancestral comes from relatives spanning any amount of time. A curse is basically ill intent upon another person released through sin, ignorance or rebellion, but a generational curse is ill intent upon a family generation or a specific member of ancestry that was released through sin, ignorance, or rebellion of previous ancestor. According to God, any man who put his trust in himself in the place of God will be cursed. Do you remember Adam and Eve the garden of Eden, ( with a little help from the DEVIL) they thought it would be a good idea to trust themselves in the place of the Lord. They knew that God had only forbidden them from doing one thing..... Just one thing.... Just imagine if God gave Adam and Eve that must freedom to run the Garden of Eden and take care of the earth, but yet that moment they were willing to throw away their relationship with God and the freedom he had given them for a LIE!!! A lie that they themselves could be just like God.

Here's some example of how generational curse starts: A man/woman mat decided to join

into allegiance with a force that appears good, but is really completely evil. He will give over his life and the lives of every generation after him. He will do blood ritual to seal the deal and will never know the damage he has done to so many lives by his deeds. He will participate in witchcraft, because he believe just like Adam and Eve, that he will become like God. "This is how the devil lies" He goes straight for our pride and ignorance. A man's pride is his folly and will cause him to fall, taking his family line down with him. Another way a generational curse can come about fear. A person can believe they have to submit to acts of rebellion or witchcraft in order to save themselves or others the loved. They are convinced of that is the only way out of deeper problem. They may be willing to go as far as murder in order to find a solution, by participating on this sin the person was unknowingly curse an entire generation after them. Look what Cain did, he believed that he could remove Abel from the picture, thus bringing God's love and blessing upon himself. Instead deep down Cain wanted Gos's approval of him, but at the same time he wanted to take on the very power of God by taking his life into his own hands. There are really numerous ways in which a generational curse can start, for every family will be different. So the only thing that can stop the generational curse is the HOLY SPIRIT can reveal these things to you. When you are under a generational curse it affect you from Day 1of your life, until the moment it is broken. (for many that day never comes) People do not often believe in or talk about curse they think they are ancient and superstitious.

Well my family generational curse is a ABUSE and SHACKING....... Let me tell you how it all begin, when I was born I was given to my grandmother to because my my mother didn't want to me, I left the hospital without a name so my older brother named me Felicia M. Wilson. While staying with my grh andparents I saw my grandmother get abuse by my grandfather it was bad. It only happen on Friday when it was payday he would home drunk and fuss, fight and auguring with my grandmother. ( one generation) The next generation was my mom and dad; my mother was the bread maker of the household because my dad was unable to work due to him having a stroke an a heart attack which left him paralyze on his left side. When though my mom was the bread winner in the family, but she also had a dark secret too. On a summer night it was my sisters, my sister's friend and myself we was having a little sleep over, just doing girl stuff. Me and my sister went to the kitchen to the "spray gun"that what we use to spray for mosquito, as my sister and I was leaving the kitchen we heard a noise at the back door. So my sister called out and ask "Who is it and my dad responded back "who you think it is"It may have been like ten minutes when my mom came running in our room saying that our dad was acting a fool. I got scared because all you can hear is my dad breaking all of mother's crystal, whatever was in the house my dad was breaking it. So my mom came back to our room telling us we need to leave because our dad was laying across the bed doing something. I was so scared my sister's , brother and my mom made it outside and got into the car we were all very scared, then as we made it to the driveway and my dad came out of the house onto the house of our house shoot his gun at us...... THANK YOU GOD!!!! we had a long drive way because I probably wouldn't even be here today. My mom didn't go straight to the police station, she decided to drive around the city think that my dad would calm down. So my mom drop off my sister's friend at her house that was a big no no because our dad was waiting for us as soon as we dropped her he begin chasing us down a dark road I was so scared. After my dad was chasing us my mom finally decided to go to the police station and make her report and then we went to our grandmother house. That night our dad went to jail I felt little safe but the next dad my mom went to work and we stayed without our grandmother. Later, on that day our dad got out of jail and he came walking down the street where our grandmother stayed, I got scared all over again I ran and hid up over my grandmother's bed. So when my mom got off of work her and my dad went to the house can cleaned like nothing happen, I was too scared to go home so I stayed with my grandmother for awhile because I was so scared of my dad. Eventually I went back home but I was still scared of my dad I didn't ask or saying nothing to him. It was couple of months later their was another incident my mom and dad got into again and this time my dad threw all of our clothes on the ground across the yard and told us to get out of his house. Even though we didn't go nowhere there was still auguring, fighting that was the norm in our household. As we got older we begin to just accepted that was the norm and we as kids just accepted. So one of my sister with through the same thing with her boyfriend at the time they was just shacking but they did eventually got married and their was fighting and auguring in the household. I so my sister cry many of tears and it hurt to see her cry because I couldn't help her. My sister next to me went through the same ordeal. Now it my turned to experience the cycle: my experience was worst because it just was my kids dad was abusive mentally, physically, emtionally, and verbally. My kids dad will make my oldest to kids called me the "B" word my self-esteem was low. He didn't want me to work just stay home and take care of the kids. We only had one car when i needed to use to car the take the kids to the doctor, or go to the grocery store he would take the car and i would have to walk to the store or the doctor office with the kids. When I had my last child with him the abuse got worst their dad was cheating on me he even slept with one of my sister but I still stayed with e thinking that he was going to change. So the next day I went out and found me a job and in two weeks I took my whole check and got me a vehicle and I didn't care hat it was I need a car for me and my kids to get around in. One night the kids dad came home and he begin to beat me in front of my kids and that is something that I never want my kids to experience but that night was different. My kids dad dragged me through trying put me out of the house. He had his hand around my neck as all this was going down my two oldest kids saw but not my youngest they was crying. The police came to the house the I was so scared of him I didn't even press charges against him. The next day the landlords came to the house and told use we had to be out by the weekend and i knew it was nobody but God giving me a way out this cycle.

I left their dad in 2007and never look back, yes I scared of what he was going to do me or the kids but I took the chance with the help of the Lord on my side. I got my own apartment it was hard because of what I say my mother and my sister's go through I thought I couldn't make it by myself. So I decided the break the generational curse/cycle everything that my family had to deal with it stop with me and mine I'm determined. I have asked the Holy Spirit to help me deal with thing that my family may have to deal with because I'm going to put a stop to it, I don't want my kids or their kids have to deal with that generational mess.

So I command you to search high and low to see what generational curse/cycle you or your family make be dealing with so you can begin to stop the generational curse.
